Week 38: African Continent, People and Music

Week 38 from: April 27th to May 1st, 2015
“African Continent, People & Music” – “Continente Africano, Personas Y Musica”

 This week we continue learning about the continents by talking about the African continent. We will learn about their meals, their dress, their music and instruments. Also we will discover what animals live on this continent. In reading, we will identify the vowels contained in the names of countries and animals. We and we will paint and glue the flags on the map.

You are very welcome to come and read a story or share with us any information that you have about the subject!

 FRIENDLY REMINDERS:
·         As the seasons change, please be sure to check your cubbies and replace current clothing with the weather appropriate clothing. Also, please bring two complete changes of clothes in case there are any accidents.
·         Please do not bring toys to the classroom.
·         Be sure that there are labels on all belongings (i.e. blankets and extra clothes) with your child’s name before bringing them to school.
·         Check if your child has dirty clothes every day because accidents can happen.
·         Please use the Spanish for fun! Uniform.

Week 37: European Continent, People & Music

“European Continent, People & Music” – “Continente Europeo, Personas y Musica”
Hello Parents!
I would like to start giving you a big “Thank You!” for your participation and support with the International Party. This week we will talk about the Asian Continent, we will learn how they dress, what they eat, their traditions and dances. It will be very interesting and beautiful to learn. Also we will make some art to take home.
I hope this will be a great week like many others! The Sapitos A are eager to learn more every day. We will be talking about the European continent.  Topic will include: their countries, flags, clothes, and language. We also will study their art. Thank you for your support.

Week 35: American Continent, People and Music

“American Continent, People & Music” – “Continente Americano, Personas Y Musica”


Hello Parents!
This week we will have our International Party!! Our children are very excited and they are dancing very well. I also like to comment that Miss Sandra will start working full time with us this week, our children already know her and they will be pleased and happy with her.
This week we will discuss the American continent music, rhythms, and costumes, everything will be related to the Latin party. Children will paint the cloths of different countries, model musical instruments, and plott lines to complete different images of the subject.
